I have never seen so much spam threads on a forum before.

I guess it's only lucky that they are bombing the Off-Topic forum.

Yeah I think it might be good if RRG took applications for a mod amongst the active users so this could al get cleaned up in a timely manner.

This is just getting to be ridiculous, every time I come here to see what's new it's just 10,000 new posts of spam.

I have emailed RRG regarding the issue.

Thanks Ashur, I agree the spam has been quite annoying. Having an active mode to purge it would be great.

Maybe they could look for one of the fans to become a temporary mod to take care of forums until they are finished with the Kickstarter business.

I feel like one of the kickstarter backers will end up being one of the long term mods anyway. Mods are often volunteers even on company forums and so its likely that whoever get picked as the first 1 or 2 mods will probably stick around.

I've gotten to where I try to report every new spam thread I see. Sometimes they're already reported, but often times they're not. Perhaps, if we make sure they're all reported, the person on the receiving end of the notifications will realize just how bad a spam problem this board has. Even if they get a moderator to take care of the spam, I'm hoping Red Republic will step up their involvement on the boards as a whole.
