Hello all,

I'm new here and also just got into the game recently and I thought I'd start my first posts in this community with a log of the construction of an arena. (because a game needs epic scenery to get my gaming club psyched!)

Now I got fairly lucky with a playmobil arena I think, they're about 35-50 euros here in Belgium so I just grabbed one from an ebay-like site. So got that covered, painting pictures will follow ;)

Now I'm working on a board and I want actual pits in the styrofoam floor. Now my question is, where do I put them to get the most use out of em?
I have been playing with some 2d pits and have some lay outs I enjoy but I can't seem to get over the fact that once I have them in styrofoam, they'll be permanent. Covering up won't be a problem but I would like to be sure that I have enough options for my board :)
What do you guys think?
(Attached a file with a layout -> squares are about 2 inches)

This looks like one of these posts that have been lost to admin approval. The problem with this board is that when a new person posts, their posts do not appear to others straight away. They have to be approved by a moderator first. When that happens, their post will not appear as a new post, because it isn't new anymore. But back when it was new, it was invisible. So the post will just appear as an old post out of the blue.

Since I imagine most people scan the forum for new posts since they last logged in, these posts will often go ignored because nobody will see them. Which kinda sucks. I imagine this forum user created a new profile, made this post, then got no replies for weeks because their post was not approved, and never came back.

I would be interested in seeing updates to this arena. I have purchased a Play-mobile arena also. Still not sure what I want to do for terrain yet. Looking at all the options.

I am new to the Forum and looking to be active here. Thought the forums have looked rather... underpopulated. Hello to those who do still lurk!

as you see (or not) I had the brilliant idea to give it a few layers of magnetic paint to hold pieces of scenery. Now with the structure paint applied, the magnets have ZERO hold on it :' ) (while adding like 2 kg/roughly 4 pounds to the thing xD )
