New thread for a new project. The Well being almost finished, time for the next arena. Strongly influenced by Shonshue's awesome modular arena (http://redrepublicgames.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=38460). Let's see how this goes.

Thank you. :) I'm glad you don't think that it's uninventive to get inspired by your work. I collect inspiration from all over the place.

Since the base board and the pit holes have been cut out, the next step seems to me to be making the pit covers. So far, the ones I have made look like this.

Right now I have made the base in three layers, and glued some cardboard to the sides to hide the seams.

This means the pits are 2cm deep. Not very deep at all, but the point is just to give a feeling of depth at least. Viatrix is almost 4cm tall, so it goes to about her waist.

Thank you. As with all projects, I started out with a base idea, but then I am modifying it as I go along. Right now I am unsure if I should put tiles everywhere in the central area, or leave bits of sand as was my original intent. Hmm. I think I will leave the sand for now. I have a crazy idea of making a new arena after this one that is all tiled. With hexes.

Terrain and pit covers applied liberally, partially to show where the magnets are located in the tile floor.

I like the duelling area in the middle, really neat.
