Hey guys, I figured I'd drop these in here!
You basically get the gist. Only things worth noting are that I swapped out Frigge's shield for Hagal's, and I use Mago as Marcus Furious, because that Mago model is just toooo awesome.

Looks absolutely fantastic :).
Incredibly work.

Especially like the tiger pelt and the turquios neck part of your Moriturii.

Thanks guys! I started a couple more Morituri. That'll put me up to 3 different starter ludii for demos. I had hoped to have some arena photos today, but we all got busy and didnt get our terrain night in like we wanted.

These look really really good! What colors did you use for your flesh tones?

Thanks, friend!
Sorry I took a second to get back to you about this. I was trying to think of a way that would make any damn sense that I could explain. But, the basic gist is that, these are all over the place. I used a lot of bugman flesh and ratskin flesh for glazing the shadows and making them warmer. I used army painter fur (?) spray on everything as my base coat. I used the matching color mixed with various amounts of bone white for most of the skintones on all the whiter dudes, and all the way up to vallejo off-white for the Zephyri. On Gaius, I made a glaze out of uniform grey and went over all his skin with that before starting in with the flesh tones, so now his shadows are cooler and weird looking. The Morituri I went over with a thinnish coat of dark flesh from GW, and then shaded it with the army painter equivalent of scorched brown, highlighting with the color that matched the spray primer I used.

I don't know if that helps or not! I've been playing around a lot with the skin on these models, so no two were really done the same, and I don't remember exactly what I did on most of it.

They look really great! Yes your description makes sense!

Also what do you use as the medium for mixing your glazes?

I've been using the P3 stuff. I picked it up on a whim and have been really loving it. I have also heard that Lahmian Meduym from GW is great.

Just finished up a couple more Morituri for Arena Rex. These models are a joy to paint. This is my third "starter" ludus that I've completed, this one for a friend. Between our crew, we have 3+ models for each different faction painted and ready to go, and when I finish one more Zephyri, I'll have painted a starter for each faction myself!
