A humble beginning, glued, prepped, based, magnetized, and storage acquired! The Morituri are joining Legio XIII and beasts soon!

Agreed! I love the look of so much massed resin awesomeness... And I dig that you went big with the beasts - they're some of my favorite models and in-game pieces.

Thanks everyone! I really liked the beasts :) and cannot wait for the tiger.

Here are some shots of a modular arena, tentatively called "the pit". The second picture better captures the color (crappy phone camera with terrible white balance). I am working on modular wooden platform elevators that lower the combatants into "the pit". They will be peaceable on any table edge for maximum configurations. The board is 24" x 24" and made of white pine plywood. It is felted on the bottom :)

Some painting was accomplished! Still fairly early and I have a few places I need to fix up, but overall pretty happy!

Thank you! I picked up the reaper paints that Gomez suggested and they worked out fantastic!

Here are some shots of the arena sands in action! Demo night!

That arena floor looks great! How do you find the models sit on the textured surface, in general? I'm always worried on the really sandy stuff that my models are gonna get torn up by it.
