Given the various poses of these models (and the fragility of some of the thinner pieces) I decided I would try one of the magnetic storage options rather than the tradition foam trays. Hence some magnetic sheeting, some washers and a cheap tool box latter I've cobbled together some storage. So far the results are promising, but I've yet to use it long term (expect tears and frustration to follow).

As you can see, it won't fit the mat, but it will store everything else nicely. (more magnetic sheeting ordered to finish off the box)

And I do mean everything.

Now I just need to wait for some of the columns and pits from AD, and that will be portable enough to game with. Just need to paint up my factions and hope that the scene starts to grow locally.

How are other people storing their gear?

Hi,
A couple of days ago i finished my own storage/transport solution. If you don't mind (as OP), i can upload a couple of photos.
Mine is a wooden box, with sliding metalized rubber trays, and a grip for transport. I got some advantage from the "door" and have arranged it to be used as cards/rules/tokens storage too. I don't have a mat, but i tested the too obeliscs i use as columns and they fit.

I tried to resize the images using tags, but it seems it doesn't work.

Wow!
Very elegant. Great job.
Love the fact that the shelves slide out for easy access. That's a fantastic feature.

If anyone else would like to show there storage solutions, please feel free to post.

Wow - VERY nicely done. Love the sliding shelves and the racks in the door for books and such.

How'd you get the AR logo on the front?

Thanks for your nice comments.

I pyrographied the logo on the front. I took some planning and careful drawing, but i think it came out quite well.
