Hello everyone,

We have a small, two parts, query about Zephyri's tactic "Ambush". Is it required that the gladiator model becomes fatigued to make the "Ambush" attack? Can it target Hermes?

Model does not become fatigued, and it can target Hermes.

Ambush is a tactic, not an attack. As a tactic, it's cost is listed as "1 favor," not a fatigue.

Also, Hermes' Aegis of Fame ability only applies to attacks. Since Ambush is a tactic, not an attack, Hermes is fair game.

That's my interpretation at least.

You are not declaring an attack (which is an action that can only be declared on an active model and not during a clear turn) so you don't pay the usually fatigue cost associated with declaring an attack. You just pay the cost specific to Ambush: 1 favor.

Since it isn't an attack (you aren't even rolling dice, just going straight to dealing damage) I can't imagine it would trigger Aegis of Fame.
