 Post subject: 2 stage units in pits

If a 2 stage unit hits a lethal hazard (like falls in a pit), is it totally dead? Both stages gone?

Most 2-stagers are titans and don't really have to worry about it, but I've been looking at the Gorgons and saw Medusa and Stheno might have a deadly pit phobia.

You have it correct. Stheno can choose which direction she is pushed, so less risk there, but Medusa and pits mix quite poorly.
