Are there any plans to release a Application for tracking damage on models? I am coming to this game from War-machine (which basically forces the use of an app). I feel like Arena Rex could benefit from a similar application.

Some Ideas:
1)Track Damage (I often find it difficult to accuratly cross off healthboxes with a dry erase marker.)

2)Track Favor pool (Good for people sharing the same set of favor dice)

3)Tack exhaustion (I personally would still use the tokens)

4)Allow the user to put in the number of successes and draw a path on the damage tree with the app automatically calculating total damage and other effects. This would get more difficult with models that can re-position or switch targets mid attack.

5)Track stats (wins/losses, Kills, deaths) for each model/cohort. (I would love to track the accomplishments of my gladiators in a simple and portable manner.)

Most of this stuff isn't really that difficult to do manually (or with excel). I realize that. However, I think an application to keep track of all of this information, all in one place, would be very useful for many players.

Not a terrible idea at all, I think, for people who like using their phones/tablets while gaming (not for me, personally).

As far as I remember, Warmachine had a free fan-made app called... I don't remember... but it was very popular and was out for years before PP eventually made their own commercial version, War Room, which it sounds like is what you are basing the idea on.

So if AR were to follow the same path, I imagine two things would need to happen before it would make sense for RRG to look into app design.

1. A fan would have to make the app first, and it would have to be popular to show that there is a market for it.

2. The game would have to get way more fans. :) It's still a niche luxury game as far as I can tell, with only a fraction of the number of players that WM has.

I agree with both of your observations. An app is a lot to ask for a (newly) budding and growing game. I just hope somebody with app development knowledge sees this and runs with it!

Ooof, I vastly prefer the analog versions of all of these things to a digital app. I want little piles of dice, painted fatigue markers, crossing off little boxes, etc. Apps always feel like they ruin my "workflow" of the game I'm playing, and the whole reason I play tabletop games is to get away from the largely digital life we all lead.

To each their own, I suppose!

Suggestion, App with all cards loaded in it for easy reference if nothing else. Look at apps like GBkeeper or GBManager for ideas.

Release tournament packs. Give people a reason to run events for this outside of cons.

Release product with more regularity. Near as I can tell this game hasn't received a model in nearly a year.

Not quite so.

Summer 2017 - Tribune
Autumn 2017 - Iocasta
Spring 2018 - Cato, Atrox, Ladon

So if we start counting at last years' Gencon, that's five new models in the last year.

Granted, several months usually pass between each new release, so releases are not exactly coming at hyper speed, and it's sometimes easy to feel starved of the excitement of getting new stuff. But the slow pace is also nice, since it's possible to pick up all the new releases if one wants without it feeling inundating.
