Greetings, gladiators!
I'm brand new to Arena Rex, joining Legio XIII and hoping to learn to play soon at my favorite FLGS. After hearing about it from a few local players, I was drawn to the game by not only the gladiatorial theme, but the small model count and "dueling aspects" as it was described to me.
I'm new to Arena Rex but not to wargaming; I played WHF for a few years back in high school, swapped to W4K for a few years, and have been playing WM:H on and off for about 5 years now. I also occasionally play a skirmish-style game called Freeblades.
I enjoy miniature gaming and painting, so look for pictures of my models once I get a chance to start painting them up! I'm no expert, but I consider my work to be decent tabletop quality, maybe towards the high end of tabletop quality?
I'm looking forward to learning the game, picking up a few monsters to paint, and hopefully sharing stories of my victories, defeats, potential works of fiction, and bombarding anyone who will listen with questions!
I hope the game continues to grow, and I will certainly be looking to grow my collection if I enjoy the game and more models continue to be released. So far I've picked up the Legio starter (Aquila, Ban-Luca, and Gaius Pallidus) as well as Ywain and Aemilia.
