I wanted to keep reach because the idea is you can attack from 3 inches away but if you're within 1 inch of the defender you can do Gore basically. And then push them away 3 inches without having to make a follow-up move for those since they stay within your engagement range. But you can only activate impale within that 1 inch so I just named it that instead of Gore.

Also just realized I left reach on the second card and didn't change it to momentum

I guess there are two things that confuse me about Impale. One is the name. Impaling something should pin it in place, but this moves models around, more like a throw (which I feel like Gore expresses). I feel like if you want him to Gore like Nero, then he should just have Gore. Or maybe it could be called Great Gore? Something to indicate that it is Gore but with more reach.

The other thing is the referencing. It talks about this model and the defending model, and then says "it is displaced", but it is not clear which model "it" refers to.

Well it's slightly different from Gore because he has that reach but I didn't want him to be able to activate Gore from 3 inches away, but yes it is worded a bit strangely so I'll take care of that. As for word choice I cant really think of any good word for that other than like gouge or skewer but like you said those are more like impale.

I tried your minotaur rules as I have the sygill forge minotaur too and they worked pretty well. He's not overpowered and loved the labyrinth rule once he was killed, was great fun.
