I was just sitting around thinking about what models in Arena Rex currently represent the only example of of a "type" of models, like something outside of their own personal special rules.

For example, I thought that Wendigo was the only model in the game that is not connected to any specific ludus benefits card. But that's not true - neither is Noxius.

I have one though: Stheno is the only 50mm based gladiator in the game so far.

Nero is the only mountable beast that has two stages. And Caho-Ta is the only mountable beast that is not a titan. (Which shows that the other two mountable beasts are both one-stage titans.) :)

I guess two of the ludi only have one 40mm gladiator - Morituri only have Ur-Kek, and Legio only have Gaius. The other two ludi have two each.

I'll see what else I can come up with...

The Morituri also have Anum.

Hah. Good call. So... Legio are the only ludus left with only a single 40mm gladiator. :)

(I forget Anum because he seems like his own separate school most of the time...)

Yeah but of the 4 50mms, Stheno is the only gladiator. :)

I forgot about Thoth though! I don't own him and he doesn't look that beefy, so he slipped my mind. Good call. :)

I didn't realise that Tribune is going to be a 40mm. Interesting. So both Magnus and Morituri will have three 40mms very soon. Leaving the Legio behind in the dust.

The wiki seems to be lacking though - Caho-Ta is listed as 30mm instead of 50mm as he actually is. I tried to edit that, but tags don't seem to be editable as a guest.

Not lacking, just needing a correction. It is now fixed. You can click the arrow next to edit and choose Classic Editor to change the TAGS or you can click Edit and click Options and then Source Editor.
Cheers for finding a correction.

Thanks for making the edit. :) Maybe it would make sense to add a "gladiator" tag to the models that are gladiators. I could get on that.

New newsletter, and Tribune is released on his 40mm base. I have to say this displeases me slightly... he looks kinda small and scrawny. Why the large base, which he totally doesn't fill?

(Still getting him though... and I forgot about the Gencon sale and ordered new models a few weeks ago. Now I have to make two orders and pay double shipping and taxes, boo.)

Actually maybe I take it back about Tribune being too small for his base. I think I would need to see him next to some other models to be able to tell properly.
