It's definitely an issue of available time to produce content. Most TV shows of questionable production value still involve dozens of people working 40 hours a week to produce an hour of content. Most battle reports are done by a single person in their free time.
Still, its an exciting niche to see expanded. GMG works in a studio and is definitely honing the craft. I definitely think a 3 camera setup could turn 6 or so hours of gameplay footage into a pretty impressive 30-40 minute video given a full working day. The issue is just being able to invest that much time and of course, having that much talent.
