 Post subject: Trying to be an Emissary

Hey everyone! I just signed up to be an Emmisary in Atlanta, GA. I have a couple questions:
What does the program do to benefit the game community?
How long does the application process normally take?
For those who have been successful in promoting the game in your area, how did you start with arenas? I am building mine in a unique way and will post it, but I want to know what others have done with their community in mind.

Part of it is just what you make of it. For me its organizing an initial community for Arena Rex in the area. That includes running and organizing demos and events, and soon hopefully a slow grow league to get up to larger play sizes.

What I am more interested in is average application time. Just wanna know a ballpark estimate :p
