We tried a game last night with 3 players and their teams. It was a lot of fun. The low model count, we each had 3 models, helped against the ganging up that 3 way fights in other games usually result in. There was a bit of jankiness in doing reactions, but it worked out pretty well. Anyone else try more than 2 players?

Really interested in the viability of multiplayer games as I'm sick of getting to the club only to find there's 3 of us for Mailfaux...

Have more and give me tips!

Besides...The more players in the Arena, the more opportunities to shout 'Are you not entertained!!' and upset the GW players on the other tables... ;)

I too would be interested in finding out a bit more of how you worked things out. Maybe I can spring for a multi-player this Wednesday at my LGS...

How did you handle the reaction issues?

I was involved in this 3 way game. We used RAW for reaction. The only one that could cause an issue is Movement, but it wasn't a problem. If a guy moved, either or both opponent could use R:M, but that would be their Reaction until their next turn.

Yeah, we tried a three player game and it didn't miss a beat. Each of us rolled for initiative, and the winner decided which order the turn would go in. We never really used Reaction: Movements, just Assists and Counterattacks, so it was fairly straightforward to resolve those.

Cool.

The more I read, the more it's becoming obvious the game is designed for multiplayer.

There's a few abilities that mention it, Mago's (is that a G or C??) 'Contempt' ability, Thoth's 'Libra' etc.

Game just keeps sounding better and better (how much am I looking forward to me game on Thursday!! Like a little kid on Crimbo Eve!!)
