Hey guys, I finally managed to get a few games in last night and it was fun. Now none of us had looked at the rules in ages so it's a testament to how well the rules are written (or my fabled eidditic memory) that we were able to pick it up and play so quickly.

Now originally I'd always felt that defence was somewhat lacking in this game. Everyone's defence score is significantly lower than their attack leading to the impression that attacks will generally score a lot of hits and cause a lot of damage. After last night's games I came to the understanding that armour is like defence dice that automatically succeed without having to roll. Now obviously it's not actual defence dice as those would negate entire steps on the damage tracks instead o single points but you also don't need to roll them to succeed either.

When you think of it that way it doesn't change the game mechanics in the least but helps to put a more positive spin on the way that defence and armour works in the game.
