Interpreting things as literally as possible (which is the pattern in AR), if you have Thoth then the favor loss or gain is mandatory

It is mandatory for the other player(s). The controller of Thoth gets to choose whether they stay the same, gain one, or lose one. The other player(s) then have to gain or lose as many as it takes to match the controller of Thoth.

Two things.

1. Based on the last comments in this thread, we all agree that Libra as a whole isn't optional, right? So every time the Thoth player takes a clear turn, their opponent will get their Favour adjusted to match yours, whether you want to or not. The only choice you have in the matter is whether you want to gain or lose a Favour point before this happens. Right?

2. Kinda weird... the OP writes that the Necrosis ability says "All models within 3 inches gain 1 Fatigue", and RRG's BadOtherNick replied confirming that Necrosis indeed affects all models, not just enemy.

But the Thoth card I just got specifically states "All enemy models". Not all models. The card shown in the webstore says the same thing.

Has the card been changed since 2013? Were the OP and Nick talking about playtest rules or something?

Who doesn't love a good thread necromancy?

1.) Yup, second half of Libra is compulsory, and not contingent upon the choice to execute the first half of the ability

2.) Necrosis is enemy models in the current rules version. "All models" was in Beta. [skull]

Awesome, thanks!

Weird to think that the board was all about playtesting a few years ago. You still even have the playtest files board at the top of the forum. Do you keep it for sentimental and/or historical reasons?
