if i got more successful attacks than there is in a chain what happens then?

if say like i got 6 die successful and the max chain is 5, is the 6th die lost or can i reverse back up the chain?

Any successes beyond the last damage box are lost.

So a Ludus Magnus gladiator model will receive 1 favor if they have any remaining net successes beyond their damage tree.
