I can only hope to keep this as updated as Wishing does with his, but here it goes!

My first Arena Rex models have arrived! Much quicker than expected I must add.

My phone camera won't take photos small enough to upload.... Help!

I will help! :D

Firstly, my recommendation would be to not upload photos directly to the forum. Instead, make an account with imgur. There, you can upload photos and get links for them that you can then insert into your posts to make the picture magically appear here. It works well.

Secondly, you will definitely want to crop and resize your photos before you upload them anywhere. You can do that in MS Paint - let me know if you need instructions how.

Thanks! I'll do that!

My first observation is that these models are quite beautiful. And small. And delicate. Very delicate.

I think my biggest challenge will be to not break any of these models over time. Especially riding septimus. I want to magnetized him but I'm almost afraid to store him alone.

Extremely delicate.

These are the only models I have seen where you get a model whose only connecting point to the base is that they are standing on tiptoes on one foot - with no tab or anything.

If you need inspiration for magnetising Septimus, there is a thread with several examples and pictures not too far down.

Still need to Magnetize Nero and take some pictures, but I have my Models all assembled! I also laid down some black model "dirt" to give the base some texture. I plan to prime the entire model and then paint the textured "dirt" a tan color for sand. Fingers Crossed.

Some of the weapons are worryingly thin and I'm afraid I'll do more damage trying to replace them than I will by just being careful with them so for now I am going to leave them as is and hope for the best.

I did make a couple of modifications to Nero though. First, I hate the back leg that just sticks straight out. It doesn't look natural to me. So, I cut and reposed it. Secondly, I didn't want to worry about getting the Septimus rains in the right spot/magnetized/storage. So I cut them off and reposed Septimus' hand so that he appears to be holding onto Nero's tuft of hair. I will put up some pictures when I get time, as these next couple weeks are going to be busy!

Sounds like a great idea to get rid of the reins! I look forward to seeing it.
