I've almost always used the cheapest can of flat black I can find from Wal-Mart. Vallejo spray-on airbrush primer is the best, though, that I've ever used. I've heard several people say that, but I've never had an issue with it. I do light coats, starting with an 'underspray' then covering the rest of the figure. I actually find the white to be quite thin, to the point that it can sometimes look like thinned white paint that's been washed onto the figure. I recently picked up the airbrush primer (so I could prime some Reaper Bones minis) and it is superb. I'll probably start using this on all my minis. It doesn't seem to be as fussy as aerosol cans can be. |
