Acerbus is almost ready for the arena!!
(Not my paint job. A buddy of mine saw the models when I got them and really wanted to paint them)

That just looks lovely. The blood works really well to break up the monotony of the grey skin. Looks like it is pretty finished too, so I'm guessing you are ready to base it.

I like the Acerbus model, but I'm actually thinking of trying to sculpt my own version of him...

Yeah, I'm about to base it. The only bad thing is now in going to have to get my buddy to paint all my AR models... his skill level is much higher than mine.

Based on your work on Euryale, I look for ward to seeing what you'll do with Acerbus.

Hah, that is an issue. Do you think he would be up for painting all your little gladiators? What kind of collection do you have? And thanks for the compliment.

What basing process do you usually use?

He has already agreed!! I don't think he realizes I have 25 models and probably some more coming if Ywain gets released soon.

Not sure what I'll do with the bases yet. Pondering some marbling effects. I'll do some test runs and see how they turn out.

Based on the rhino, it looks like you will end up with a great looking gladiator squad.

Here's a group shot of mostly finished models. Sereqet still needs to be painted, Amun needs some shading.
Also got some hazards thrown together for tomorrow's AR game day.

Wow! I love those hazards. Fantastic idea about making the pyres - I would never have thought of that, but it totally works. And the spiky poles look great too, really menacing and torture-chamber-like.
